Frequently asked questions
Are the passwords secure?
Yes. They are generated with crypto.getRandomValues in your browser, never sent anywhere and never stored.
How long should a password be?
At least 12–16 characters using every character set. Important accounts deserve 20 or more characters, kept in a password manager.
How is the strength calculated?
From entropy: bits = length × log2(number of possible characters). 80 bits or more is Strong, 120 bits or more is Very strong.
